Diese Preisverleihung hat beinahe schon Tradition: am ersten Messetag der Kind + Jugend wird der Innovation Award vergeben. Die Nominierten für 2016 wurden unlängst veröffentlicht.

Wer im Rahmen der Kind + Jugend für den Innovation Award nominiert ist, darf nicht nur auf den Award hoffen, sondern sich auch über einen Ausstellungsplatz in der Innovation Award Area freuen. Mit dem Innovation Award sollen jene Produkte hervorgehoben werden, die (wie der Namen bereits besagt) durch Innovation überzeugen. Die internationale ExpertInnen-Jury vergibt den Preis in insgesamt 8 unterschiedlichen Kategorien: World of Kids Care, World of Kids Furniture, World of Safety at Home, World of Kids Textiles, World of Kids Toys, World of Moving Kids, World of Moving Kids & Travelling Kids Accessories sowie World of Travelling Kids.
